Mountain Bluebird Macomb County 12/22/2016

  The Mountain Bluebird at the boat launch at the end of South River road was still present this morning, providing good views and photo-ops. 




  Below is a Pileated Woodpecker that has been visiting the suet cakes in my Ludington yard daily.

    Hardly surprising, but your Bluebird photos are really quite nice. I already have the species for my Michigan list so a chase is not likely. Further, I'm not sure I'll have the time. This break between semesters is slipping by quickly!
