Early this afternoon Dave Dister called and told me that he had seen a Common Eider in Ludington Harbor from the south breakwater. Since I wasn't doing anything (besides studying for an upcoming eight hour test that my job, financial future and let's not kid around here my domestic bliss depend on), I headed right out there.
After the bird flew past me it circled back and landed on the lake outside the south breakwater..
