Peregrine Anonymous


  Above is a photo of the male Peregrine Falcon that patrols the sky where I work.  For two years I've been trying to get a shot of his leg bands so that his identity can be determined.   The next photo shows the male on the left and the female on the right.  The female's perching pose leaves her legbands clearly visible, while the male's lower leg is always obstructed



       From a different angle the female's band can be read,  02/Y black over red.



   Even though flight shots taken today provided a variety of different angles of the male, none of them show his ID bands.
